Indira Gandhi International Airport Modernization

About the Project

Located at the southwest portion of downtown New Delhi, the airport is situated on 5100 acres of land. The proposed design for the modernization and restructuring of the airport calls for a four phase construction plan to be completed over the next 20 years. Along with the addition of 1.2 million square feet and two more runways, there will be gates to accommodate 76 aircraft for both domestic and international traffic and parking for 8000 cars. The public side of the airport includes an underground train station connecting to all local rail lines, a hotel, retail outlets, ticketing etc.
